Ezebreak Micro-Blaster 1
The MICRO-BLASTER I is a compact and affordable demolition system utilizing a fast burning proprietary gas producing cartridge to crack rock and masonry. Operated remotely with a 25-foot pull cord, the MICRO-BLASTER I is safe and easy to use. Because of its low energy output, this system is usable in almost any environment. Requiring only a 5/16 inch diameter hole, 9 inches deep, the system can be employed without the need of expensive large hole drilling systems.
Assembled using hardened tool steel components, the MICRO-BLASTER I provides many years of trouble-free use and is easily serviced in the field with common hand tools.
Packaged in a durable and compact molded case (13.5 in.W x 10 in.D x 3.5 in. H), the MICRO-BLASTER Kit comes complete with a Micro-Blaster, hole blower, hex key, bull pins (for wedging apart cracked rock), release cord assembly and manual.
Ezebreak Micro-Blaster 2
Triggered by a pressure pulse simplifying drilling strategy, freeing the user from the restraints of the lanyard activation of the original Micro-Blaster. Pressure sources can be either compressed air or CO2 cartridge technology. The system cannot fire until remotely pressurized by the operator. Simultaneous firing of multiple Micro-Blaster II units which allows much larger masses to be cracked through the use of a manifold/valve assembly connecting multiple units. Simplified assembly/disassembly for easier and faster field maintenance.
The Micro-Blaster II is a safe and economical system for the cracking of rock and masonry. Based on propellant technology, special blasting licenses are not required. The small size of the system allows it to be used in almost any location. Capable of breaking rock or masonry of almost any size by successive blasts, the Micro-Blaster II does its job with almost no fly-rock, which can be completely eliminated with the use of light mats. Pneumatically triggered from a 25 ft. distance, the system can be configured to allow multiple simultaneous shots using a variety of pressure sources including CO2 and compressed air.
The Micro-Blaster II is available in two versions, a single head kit as well as a triple head kit for larger projects. Requiring only a 5/16 inch hole, 10 inches deep, the system allows the use of inexpensive drilling equipment, often a major capital expense for demolition work. Designed for many years of trouble-free performance, the kit weighs only 10 lbs. The durable molded case measures 15″ x 12″ x 6″ and contains the Micro-Blaster II, a bore brush and bulb blower (for cleaning drilled holes), 2 tapered pins (for wedging apart cracked material), a CO2 bicycle inflator (for pressurizing the system), and instructions for safe use.
Ezebreak Micro-Blaster 3
Our most popular version, the Micro-Blaster IIx3 Kit contains 3 Micro-Blaster II heads and a 3 way manifold/valve assembly to allow the simultaneous triggering of 1, 2 or 3 heads. This assembly comes with a small padlock and key to lock out the system rendering it unfirable between shots greatly adding to safety. The Micro-Blaster IIx3 will allow users to break much larger masses of rock or concrete than with just the single head models.
Users will need to supply a source of compressed air or CO2 (minimum 75 psi, 7 gallon portable air tank recommended) to trigger their systems. If working in remote areas a “T” handle bicycle pump and our 1/2 gal aluminum air tank will allow for a very portable triggering system. Note that you will need to outfit your air source with a quick coupler (1/4″ Industrial Interchange) to connect to the hose on the MB IIx3 Manifold/Valve to your air source.
We offer a Micro-Blaster II Portable Air Tank. And, for those who already have their own air tank, we offer an Air Tank Conversion Kit, both of which can be found on our Accessories page.
